Editorial policy

Evidence before recommendation.

The rules we intend to apply to comparisons, corrections, commercial relationships, and AI-assisted production.

How we evaluate

We begin with a reader’s job, constraints, and decision criteria. We distinguish vendor documentation, independently observed facts, estimates, and unknowns. A missing answer remains an unknown rather than becoming a favorable assumption.

Product experience

We only describe hands-on experience when it actually occurred and can be documented. Otherwise, we identify the source as vendor documentation, a public demonstration, or another clearly named source.

Commercial influence

Commission potential does not qualify a product for coverage. If affiliate links are introduced, the relationship will be disclosed near relevant links and in the site-wide disclosure. Commercial terms may affect which products are practical to monetize, but they must not change verified facts or hide meaningful drawbacks.

AI assistance

AI may assist with research organization, drafting, language review, and production. Claims still require evidence and editorial review. AI-generated text is not evidence.

Corrections

Material corrections should state what changed and when. Correction requests can be sent to contact@worktoolbrief.com.
